It seems to me it is the same old thing over and over again. Our elected officials can not decide on what would be best for all of us. They always have to vote their party line. Do you think democrats and republicans in congress will ever agree on oil drilling?
Probably not. The Democrats are owned by the extreme left and the extreme left is anti-American. We will continue to be dependent on those foreign countries who want to destroy us until we elect honest people who are not just in it to continue their political career. They have both agreed for decades to prevent it. They prevented it when the Democrats were in charge, and they prevented it when the Republicans ruled the roost.





Politicians from both parties have sold their souls to the big oil companies, as well as the pharmaceutical and banking interests. They have contempt for the Constitution, as well as the Ameican people.





As long as they prevent any competition in oil production, they ensure high prices to the big oil companies. That's what they get paid to do. That's why I refer to them as criminal politicians.
Despite who is President I think they will. Democratic congress just does not want it to be Bush's idea. They are waiting to see if Obama is elected, so they can be the saviors of America.

Could this in any way have anything to do with campaign contributions? Aren't huge sums made regardless of drilling? Perhaps the real agenda is to keep as much in the ground here for as long as possible even if we go nuclear/solar? So many things are petroleum based. Its' a win/win, either way.
What difference would additional drilling for oil make? Have we nationalized our oil companies and they will only sell this new oil to the US? Fact is, that oil will belong to the big oil companies who will then sell it to whomever pays them the most.
well, nancy pelosi did a big turn-around with supporting oil drilling. She's a democrat!! And she wants oil drilling?? makes me mad:( but 2 answer ur question, i think the only unanimous agreement in Congress will be...hang on, i can't think of one.
No they won't. The Republicans have found a solid wedge issue and will push it through to election day, but the democrats are in control and will get the issue to go away with the help of the mainstream media.
Alot of them do. I know my Democratic Senator wants to drill.


Nancy Pelosi will not allow a up/down vote on drilling in the House. Why? She knows she will lose. And the dems. hold a majority.
I'll be honest. If Obama is elected, yes they will agree.





If McCain is elected, not a chance. The Democratic Congress would never allow it.
