What do you think about the oil drilling off the coast of Florida?

I personally think it is a very, very BAD idea, but I want to hear some opinions.What do you think about the oil drilling off the coast of Florida?
At this point in time, our country does not have an energy policy. Therefore, we are dependent upon foreign oil which compromises us because others can control our economy. We need a 2 prong approach (1) develop a comprehensive energy policy to find alternatives to oil (2) temporarily drill for more oil so we are not dependent on foreign governments.What do you think about the oil drilling off the coast of Florida?
Doesn't matter the highest bidder winsand can be sent off around the world,so it doesn't mean the U.S will see it and if so not for years. I hear the all tankers that actually transfer the oil from the refineries are booked up for the next 5 years so even if we had more oil it wouldn't matter today or tomorrow...
I live in Florida and look forward to the drilling . Anything we can do to slow the hemorrhaging of money to foreign oil nations is a step in the right direction .
I live on and enjoy the coast of Florida and I also think its a very, very, bad idea.
As someone who lives on the west coast of Florida I'm against it.





We rely on tourists and if tar balls start washing up on our pristine beaches I somehow think those tourists will not really want to spend their money here.
I think it is high time we drilled off our own coasts. We can't afford to keep borrowing money from China to pay for oil from the OPEC organization.
They are already drilling off the coast, it may as well be American.
I think it is a good idea because gas is to darn expensive
