Which president signed in a republican Congress in 1990 to do away with oil drilling?

'Mr. Bush鈥檚 father, the first President Bush, signed an executive order in 1990 banning coastal oil exploration, and Mr. Bush鈥檚 brother Jeb was an outspoken opponent of offshore drilling when he was governor of Florida.'

.....'There are two prohibitions on offshore drilling, one imposed by Congress and another by executive order signed by Bush's father in 1990. Bush's brother, Jeb, fiercely opposed offshore drilling when he was governor of Florida. What the president now proposes would rescind his father's decision.'Which president signed in a republican Congress in 1990 to do away with oil drilling?
George H.W. Bush did, back in the day when we didn't have a massive fuel crisis on our hands. The govenor of Florida was against off-shore drilling too until recently.

At least these individuals have their priorities straight.Which president signed in a republican Congress in 1990 to do away with oil drilling?
Gas was also about 80 cents a gallon then.

And...it was a Democratically controlled Congress.
Only a liberal nut-job would think that we had a Republican Congress in 1990.

Haven't even ONE of you ever cracked a history book? Or do get all your info from MSNBC?
The Democratic President Bill Clinton blocked Republicans from drilling oil in 1996.
The congress in 1990 was a Democrat congress. It became republican in 1994
If it was 1990 it would have to be Bush senior. He was the only president in that year.
The president in 1990 was Bush Sr. Clinton was elected in 92'
Didn't the Dems control at least the house in 1990? But I think George Bush Senior was president then.
HW Bush.
is there a place we can check that out at or is it something you made up
