Because she has enough of the liberal crazies in congress behind her that she knows she can get away with it. We need to fire every single one of em and elect some honest people.Why did Nancy Pelosi say she wouldn't allow any legislation regarding off shore oil drilling be discussed?
Nancy Polosi, prior to the last Congressional elections, promised ';a common sense approach'; to lowering energy costs. We have gotten instead a policy which opposes every reasonable effort to increase our own domestic supply of oil.


Then again, the democrats ran on a platform of troop withdrawal from Iraq, and, once in office, we got an increase in troop deployment instead.


I see a definite pattern here - and I'm not surprised at her last statements.


I'm sure that Nancy is basing her statement on a filibuster - and, in this case, nothing would get any meaningful discussion anyway.
Because drilling would stabilize the economy, which would make the democrats look like idiots for opposing it for so long. If it was a democrat president, she would back it, just to get re-elected.





Just goes to show, democrats only want what is good for democrats. Or, more precisely, they only vote for things that will protect their power.
Because Nancy Pelosi is just another empty suit (dress, skirt, whatever) that is doing the bidding of the powers behind the scenes, and they are against anything that just might make sense for the country and that is supported by the opposition. She has no power herself. Unfortunately her ';bought and paid for'; position does wield some, and once again, it is being used to the detriment of the country.
I hope so. As a nation, we already produce more oil than we can refine, and actually ship out 56% of all oil drilled in the US. For us to produce more would be ridiculous. We should be building refineries and keeping the oil in the states.
Because SHE wants to be the only one talking, and the only one to decide what should be talked about.

she is trying cause shes against it but you know what she would have to be pretty strong to do this and i am sure she is not.
Nancy, like all democrats, puts politics over what's best for America. She can't let voters see democrats voting against what 73% of Americans want.
It's called demagoguery, perhaps it's time to bring out the tar and feathers.

I don't know, I'm still wondering why she said impeachment is off the table.





She doesn't like to take a principled stand?
Because she knows that if it put to a vote it will hurt the dems in the national election this year.
Because Nancy Pelosi is a fascist who wants to silence debate and free speech.
She should be removed from office for subverting the will of the people.
