if these giant countries are willing to take such aggressive actions to retrieve fossil fuels, should we really be drilling our own oil fields?


We have a much oil as the Middle East, but continue to be a debtor nation and buy foreign oil. China isn't drilling off the coast of florida. Russian ain't flagging anything. This was ploy during the election by McCain staff and supporters. It was to justified that if china is going to do it anyway why shouldn't we. And use it as a platform against the democrats.

LOL I agree. But that would just be too simple. Anyway the U.S government already has enough oil in reserve I think to last around 40 years ? But we cant use that because they are saving it for an emergency ?

Giving away resources to other countries is Obama's way of getting everyone to like us more. Other than extreme leftists, people think this ploy is ineffective and just plain stupid.
The US wants to use up the *cheap oil* first~~this makes sense to the politicians but you would think with a 40 year supply the US could be off


of being oil dependant by then?
People have been saying the same thing since 1974, and it has done no good.
