How much will drilling for oil in the United Sates of America save The USA?

any websites you can direct me to, on this topic? Thanks! How much will drilling for oil in the United Sates of America save The USA?
It all depends on how much oil can be produced and at what cost. I am a 1/3 owner in a now 67 well oil and gas company. We not only keep the money spent on the oil in the country but we also have over 40 full time employees that are able to provide for their families because of our company. This job creation helps the economy in a way that is hard to measure.

If we are able to start drilling off shore we will save billions. This is because the places that are being looked at for drilling will be drilled. Its just a matter of what country is going to do the drilling. China, Cuba and Venezuela are all in line to drill in places that domestic oil companies would like to drill if they can get approval from our government.

you can google oil supply and demand. As far as drilling it is important that we do have oil and also the natural gas as the folks up north really get hit hard by the cost for oil. If you noticed last year the price of oil was manipulated by Morgan stanley by hiring former Enron employees that had manipulated natural gas and broke California. That was also done because certain regulations had been removed during Clinton years and I think some during Bush. So it's important we have it as if we don't the price of everything is tied to it and ultimately will cost lus again. There's tons of it offshore and on land and the nat gas is easy to get to offshore. Have a great 2009.
if EXXON wanted to ';give'; it away (sell as much as they could drill at cost with a solid profit to them)... it could save trillions...

if EXXON wanted to make up a billion excuses and hold it back (to keep demand high to make a profit)... it would make little difference...

do you think EXXON wants to ';give'; it away... or make as much money as they can off of it?

unless you want to nationalize oil?
It's the finding it, not the drilling for it that counts. The Western world was stood on its ear thirty years ago by the arabs with an oil crisis. If we haven't been able to find a replacement on our own turf in all that time, it's because it isn't there to be found.
Al Gore quote:

';If we got solar energy from ';an area of the Southwestern desert 100 miles on a side, that would be enough, in and of itself, to provide 100 percent of all the electricity needs for the United States of America in a full year.';

It stands up to scrutiny.
It depends on how much we affect the world supply and if there is an increase in refining. It is sad that some think we don't have enough oil reserves as we have more than the entire Middle east. It is also sad that some buy into the myth that it will take 10 years to recover any oil, it could take less than five..

Drilling in America could possibly save the US money, but has been proven to be dangerous especially if we do as Sarah Palin suggested, and could take a very long time before it helps us the least bit!
Oil is traded on the international market - it doesn't matter where they drill it.

If it really was 'our' oil, and not the property of the multi-national oil companies, then maybe domestic drilling would have a positive impact.
I can't believe we still use gasoline. Many cars can be converted to run very well on alcohol, something our farmers can produce on a sustainable basis. Oh well. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll keep getting what you're getting.
It won't make a difference there's only like 2% of world's oil left here, it will cost more to drill and process it then the amount of oil it will generate....
It depends on the cost of drilling. Not every drill site is successful, so there are a lot of investments that don't pay off.
The US cannot drill itself our of an energy crisis. We do not hold enough oil reserves.

We have to look to alternative energy.
I know they would make enough to supply the entire USA and have plenty left to export and make trillions of dollars a year.
It wouldn't save much money, but it would make us that much less dependent on oil bought from people who really don't like us all that much (except for the fact that we make them rich).
We have as much oil as the Middle East countries. It's all the Saudi economy runs on... Imagine us with that oil power!
Depends on the price of oil and amount of oil brought to market.
Well let's set it up and then wait 10 years to actually get any oil and FIND OUT!
Absolutely nothing.
enough to balance the budget we have plenty of oil and gas if the jack @$$ greenies would stop fighting us
