WHO are the individuals preventing the nation from drilling for oil. Can you name names who are responsible.

If we citizens knew the top individuals who are responsible for our dependence on foreign oil, we may be able to convince, outbribe, or whatever, to change their minds. Do you know specifics, not ';The Sierra Club'; or other organizations. Please email names, titles, addresses so a campaign can be started for the good of the nation. I am tired of paying a higher price for gasoline when it doesn't have to be so.WHO are the individuals preventing the nation from drilling for oil. Can you name names who are responsible.
If you need to point a finger, point at the EPA. The EPA was Richard Nixon's landmark legislation. So, ask the Republicans why we can't drill for oil in EPA protected areas.WHO are the individuals preventing the nation from drilling for oil. Can you name names who are responsible.

The answer is anyone with any sense. We don't need more oil. We need fuel efficient cars (that alone would nearly end our dependence on foreign oil). We need investment in modern and cost-effective energy production. Not pandering to special interests who keep shoving 19th century obsolete technology down our throats.

No one who is concerned about the ';good of the nation'; is supporting more drilling. The people who are really concerned are supporting developing alternative energy and the economic growth, cheaper energy, and jobs that go with scrapping obsolete systems and adopting modern energy production systems.

We don't have much oil left in this country. If you are talking about oil in Alaska, there is so little of it there it will harm the country more than it will help the country to obtain.

We need an energy source along the lines of Hydrogen for the mobility of the automobile, and we need nuclear power for power stations.
Environmentalists are the ones who petitioned to prevent drilling in Alaska, I can't be sure but I think the ACLU was in on that one. What I would like to ask is why oil? There are other options out there.
