Plus: We get more oil. With more supply, the price of gas will drop.
Negative: By drilling for more oil in Alaska, we are not turning to alternative uses for energy. This will only solve the problem in the short run, but it doesn't fix the long term problem of renewable energy.
What are the pluses and minuses of drilling for oil in Alaska ?
As far as I'm concerned they could drill for oil in Laura Bush's forehead as long as that oil stays in the United States and doesn't get sold to China.
