Do you think that it was right for the Democrats to refuse to vote on oil drilling?

House Dems turn out the lights but GOP keeps talking

Yes. It's Ms. Pelosi job to save the planet.Do you think that it was right for the Democrats to refuse to vote on oil drilling?
Good God, you don't actually think it will help, do you?

I mean, look at it this way:

Humanity's oil consumtion is a massive fire, burning down a house. Now we normally had oil to throw on the fire. Keep it contained, I mean. Now imagine the water main craps out and now the firefighters have no water. Now the fire is growing, and growing. And now imagine just filling a bucket with all the water you can find in nearby homes and businesses. Now you throw *that* on the fire. And it just stops a small section for a small amount of time.

It doesn't matter just how much ';offshore oil'; we find, because it's just staving off the inevitable. We'd just be ripping up the earth just to find a little bit more water to throw on our fire.
Yes. They have the right to vote. Personally, until government votes to subsidize oil drilling, all this congressional smoke and mirrors is just that - smoke and mirrors. We can't MAKE the oil companies drill. And they are making good money now without spending millions to drill more - why should they drill.
Yes I do.

We need a solution for oil. Oil isn't a renewable resource meaning we WILL run out. So find different ways to run our cars %26amp; other things that consume oil would greatly improve our society, environment, %26amp; economy. So yes, I think it was the right decision.
I honestly believe that oil drilling will not help as much as

everybody thinks.. it will help put more money in the

pockets of the oil companys
