Why are the Democrats trying to keep us from drilling for oil in Alaska ?

Foreign depenence would be cut by 75 %. I think it's all a plot to bankrupt the economy on Bush's watch so that they can take over.Why are the Democrats trying to keep us from drilling for oil in Alaska ?

Well, it will cut foreign dependence on oil, but maybe at the same time ruin the majesty of the Alaskan landscape and at the same time promoting more realizing of toxic chemicals from the bottoms of those obesity promoting vehicles.(the obesity part was just for fun) I live in a suburban valley near a city, and its all smoggy. The sky has a hint of grayish-brown. Its disgusting. I also love the great outdoors, it has this enormous power that can pull one out of the deepest and darkest bawls of depression.





But i dont know democrats for nature...nevertheless, would you want to drive around in a car releasing out gasses that can ruin your health, not to mention contribute to global warming? We cant stop global warming, its a natural phenomon, but why speed it up? What happy person drinks alcohol or smokes when shes pregnant? O yea, the stupid.





This economy i think is alrdy going bankrupt, $9 trillion in public debt...Im america's future generation, I have to pay these taxes. I dont like the burden.





Why cant we just use some alternative form of energy? Take it from a strategic point of view. We can develop hydrogen, solar, alternative hydrocarbon fuels, and tons of others, while countries like China cant. Think. 10-20 years from now, the world is thirsting for oil, but we and Europe have already switched. Who has all the power? We do. China may control us now with her imports, but we can control her with OUR oil, like the middle east and south american currently does to us. The only difference is that we CAN fight off China. Dont think of the now without thinking of the future.





(Im chinese, i dont like china too much, im Green, liberal(in the sense of liberty), like the use of nuclear power(fusion fission whatever), but part pacifist, only WW2 was justified I think, dont like global warming but like machines(which need fuel to run)...Im full of contradictions, but NO TO DRILLING IN ALASKA.
What DO you think they built that pipeline for dude?
