If you are for drilling more oil wells in the US; shouldn't the oil be required to be used here?

Perhaps if we are going to destroy our habitat the oil should only be sold in the US. 89% of the land in Alaska is owned by you and I as tax-payers! If we are to be self-sufficient we should stop the International Oil Corporations from selling our oil to foreigners!

What say you?If you are for drilling more oil wells in the US; shouldn't the oil be required to be used here?
well... I agree...

but according to Republicans... that would be ';communist';... the government stepping in and telling oil companies what to do...

sometimes I'm surprised they don't sell nukes to terrorists citing ';it's a free market... nukes don't kill, fingers that push buttons do';...If you are for drilling more oil wells in the US; shouldn't the oil be required to be used here?
Drilling for oil doesn't destroy the habitat. Check this out:

Whenever we want to create a new aquatic environment for fish and corals, do you know what we do? We sink an iron-hulled ship. The fish move in and all of a sudden you have a man-made thriving habitat.

Seems like the animals and fishies are smarter than the liberals.
I am all for more drilling but I think you guys need to study economics.

It is a world market. WORLD MARKET. We don't exist on our own and neither does anybody else. Maybe if you could look around once in a while you would see that.
i am all for keeping the oil here.

and we aren't going to be destroying anything. did you know the wildlife around the alaskan pipeline has flourished because they like to gather and mate around the warm pipes?
Yes---and if we can get good senators and rep's we can make that a reality----let's hope we will vote right in future elections----the media-bias has been revealed and has awakened a sleeping giant YOU----and ME---and all the other voters-----Vote Smart
ABSOLUTELY, and without question.
I think that is something we all can agree on.
