They spew so many lies whenever the subject of drilling here comes up. It is so ridiculous---yet we are just beginning to here commentators explain this tactic.How do the democrats get away with making so many plainly false statements about drilling for oil here in USA?
In the '70's teachers were teaching by the seat of their pants, as the rights and wrongs became blurred, and students were taught that Americans were at the root of all evil. They were taught to rebel against societal norms. At that time we were taught to choose plastic over paper bags, to save us from the looming Ice Age!
Long story short this fanatical Liberal ';Religion';, became more entrenched in the main media outlets and every hair brain cause has been taken up by the Dem's. Add this to the money involved in the lobbyists activity, and viola!
That's why. Money and sheep-like following=no oil drilling.How do the democrats get away with making so many plainly false statements about drilling for oil here in USA?

That we have less than 3% of the world's oil but we use 25% each year ?
That no amount of poking holes in the ground is going to make a difference at the price at the pump ?
That even if you gave away MORE coastline to big oil, they still would CHOOSE NOT TO DRILL IT, because it isn't cost effective for them to invest billions to drill these small pockets of oil ?
What about the fact that even if you started miraculously pumping a bunch of oil out of the ground, it would still be sold on the open market and would MAYBE have a 1% decrease on the price of crude in 10 YEARS !%26gt;?
Or how about the fact that there is no REAL solution that involves putting more gasoline in your tank !?
My question is.....why all of the sudden you think this is some NEW IDEA that is going to save us all ?...
If poking holes in the ground were a solution we wouldn't be talking about it, because they would already be DOING IT !!!
They say they want to lower gas prices, but they admit that they prefer high prices because people use less. They stop every solution to lower gas prices and then say it's someone else's fault. I don't think intelligent people are buying their garbage.
They are always saying that everyone should lower their usage of gasoline and take public transportation, but when they do they say they have to raise taxes to pay for the roads because everyone's using public transportation and using less gasoline.

well maybe they think we can't think on our own or soemthing but that is ok we'll just sit tight and we'll get rid of the probelms anyhow nd it willb e good.w e shoudl have long time ago just dumped the entire mess and gotten out of this gas thing many years ago the car companies would hae done their thing but they can't when we wont' buy the cars and its the saudias that are making a misktae but helping us in general.

Let me ask you this: Why have Republicans lied to Americans for the past 8 years about the 9/11 attack? Why have they lied to us about Osama being ';alive and in hiding'; when he's really dead?
The same way Republicans make up crap about the war in Iraq. Because in the end politics is politics and all politicians are liars.
